They're back! The Blue Angels came back this year to put on an awesome air show that we got to see multiple times due to our little family connection. Mom and I went out to the airport this year for the actual performance to stand there in showers of sweat just to see these jets perform their awesome stunts! Was it worth it!? I'd say yes! Minus the horrific traffic jam when it was all said and done. I'm just glad Troy's parents watched Ty because he wouldn't have done very well at all. It definitely gets your adrenaline running when they fly so low, at such high of speeds, right over your head! Sometimes we didn't even know where they were coming from. During one of the practice runs earlier in the week, Troy was watching atop the tower. What a view! He said they were just about 200 ft away from him at times. Here's some footage and my favorite stunt:
This next one shows how close Troy was when he was watching from the tower...and also the diffuculty in catching these things on camera. Sorry for the blue sky footage.
belly up!
